Birth: 19 Dec 1754 According to his Pension Application: "Revolutionary War Soldier, enlisted April 1776 in Capt. Louis Farmer's Co, (Col. Miles' Reg't), lst Regiment, First Penn. Riflemen. Was in the Battles of Long Island, White Plains, Germantown and Trenton ["helped take the Hessians out"]. Mustered out on 01 Jan 1779. A pension was granted which he received from 04 Sept 1827 to 04 March 1828 with the last payment a month later to his estate.

   According to his Pension Application: "Revolutionary War Soldier, enlisted April 1776 in Capt. Louis Farmer's Co, (Col. Miles' Reg't), lst Regiment, First Penn. Riflemen. Was in the Battles of Long Island, White Plains, Germantown and Trenton ["helped take the Hessians out"]. Mustered out on 01 Jan 1779. Mov ed in 1814 to Wolf Creek Twp. Mercer Co. Penn. His blacksmith shop burned twice. He had a broken leg and suffered from infirmities of ageing. " A pension was granted which he received from 04 Sept 1827 to 04 March 1828 with the last payment a month later to his estate.
