About George Franklin Ellis

George Franklin Ellis was born on September 27, 1843 in Hartford, Connecticut.

On December 20, 1861, he was elected vice president of the senior class at Hartford's Trinity College. He was also appointed as "Historian and Prophet" for Class Day, held on June 12, 1862.

He married Janet Stevens McEwan on May 13, 1868. With her, he had at least four children:
