George Eyre's mother, Lydia, was the granddaughter of John and Mary (Hale) Coats through their daughter Mary Coats and her first husband, Richard Wright. Richard died about 1848. Mary (Coats) Wright married Isaac Dutton and died in 1790 or 1791. She was also interred in Coats burial ground.
Originally interred in the Coats family burial ground at the corner of 3rd and Browne in the Northern Liberties District. The burial ground was sold in 1852 and remains removed to Laurel Hill Cemetery between 1853 and 1873. Headstone transcribed by S. A.
