About George H. Fullerton
George H. Fullerton, president of the Pacific Land and Improvement Company, the development arm of the Santa Fe Railroad, was instrumental in having the railroad routed through the fledgling town. In appreciation, the town was named after him, even though he left the area the same year that the town was founded.
