George William GASTON was the son of George and Mandana Isabelle "Belle" (Bush) GASTON. His father had immigrated to the Bush Prairie/Tumwater area from Nova Scotia, and his mother was the daughter of one of the area's "pioneers" - William Owen BUSH.

He is also the brother of Annie Belle (Gaston) SUTCLIFFE.

Both Annie and George William would have been my 1st cousins, 3x removed (their Grandfather Moses GASTON was my 3x Great-Grandfather).

In his WWI Draft Registration information, George William Gaston is shown to be the "Deputy Auditor" for Thurston County.

I have found that George married first Marjorie Mabel STEVENS, in Aug 1914, in Lewiston, ID. They seemed to go between there and Olympia. It appears they divorced in 1929.

He married Eva Maude RICHARDSON, daughter of Russel/Russell "Jack" RICHARDSON and Mattie M (Delf/Delph) RICHARDSON, in 1929, and have found that they did, indeed, have a child -- a daughter named Gloria, born in 1931. (from the 1940 US census, in which George is shown to be the "Examiner" for the "State Auditors Office")

George is buried near his parents in Tumwater, WA.
