George Isaac Glazener (Glazner) born ca. 1755 Allegany Co., MD died ca. 1826/1828 Horseshoe, Henderson Co., NC buried Mill Pond Cem., Mt. Horseshoe, Henderson, NC Sources: (1) George enrolled in Maryland Militia 28 Aug 1776 (2) In November, 1790, George "Glaisnor", for 30 pounds, bought 100 acres from Thomas Hendron on Tillet’s Creek (Wilkes Co. Deed Book GG, 1790-1793, p. 364). (3) 1792 and 1793 Tax Lists Wilkes Co., Georgia (4) In September 1795, George and Nellie Glazner sold their 100 acres on Tillet’s Creek in Wilkes Co., Georgia to Fleming Jordan. (The disposition of their other 175 acres is unknown.) (5) In 1796, George Glazener selected to serve as juror the November term of the Inferior Court. (6) George Glazener and wife Nellie Lee and their children moved to what became Buncombe County, NC, and Robert Lee went with them. There they got involved in the “Walton County War” over state boundaries and the validity of various land deeds. (7) 1800 census Buncombe Co., NC as "Glassnore" (8) Nellie in 1850 census DeKalb Co., Alabama w/son John Glazener, age 95, born N. J.
