George H.W. Hart

George H.W. Hart was a son, born to John T. Hart and Elishea 'Elitia' Parks circa 1854 at Accomack County, VA.

The 1860 Census listed George with his parents at Onancock, Accomack County, VA. He was shown as George G.W. Hart, age 6 in HH #582 headed by John Hart, 49 year old farmer and his wife, Eletia, age 49.

The 1870 Census listed George with his parents at Locust Mount, St. George's Parish, Accomack County, VA. He was shown as George G.W. Hart, age 15 in HH #LM1003 headed by John Hart, a 60 year old farmer.

On December 15, 1875 George married Sarah A. 'Sally' Johnson, the daughter of Joshua T & Rachel Johnson at Deep Creek, Accomack County, VA. George was a 20 year old oysterman.

The known children of George H.W. Hart & Sarah A. 'Sally' Johnson:

Elisha E. Hart (b ca 1878); Wesley C. Hart (b 1880 - d 1961); Althea V. Hart (b ca 1882); Bettie L. Hart (b 10/1/1884 - d 1/7/922) and Ella E. Hart (b 1886 - d 1939).
