Kildare Observer – November 18, 1905 Obituary – By the death of Mr George Homan of Ballymore Eustace, who died 30th October, a scion of a well-known and respected Kildare family has passed away. Quiet and unobtrusive in his manner, he was extremely popular both in his native county as well as in Wicklow, with which he was intimately connected by family ties. Uneventful as the deceased gentleman’s career was, the same could not be said of his grandfather's, who had some romantic experiences in the momentous year of ‘9. The possessions of the family were at Ardenode, Wellfield, and the Commons and in Ballymore Eustace itself. Mr Homan’s funeral to the ancient burial ground at Ballymore on the 10th last was very largely attended, and proved the deep estimation in which the deceased had been held during life. The chief mourners were the sons, brother-in law, nephews and cousins
