MR GEORGE HOWELL (By Telegraph-Press. Association.)INVERCARGILL, This Day. With the death of Mr. George Howell, of Pourakino at the age of 98, has passed away Riverton's oldest, resident. Mr. Howell has a family link with: the town's history in that, he was the son of Captain Howell the founder of the town, and his mother was a Native princess of the centre island.
