George Taylor Irvin

Services for George T. Irvin, 75, of De Leon will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Charles E. Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Mr. Irvin passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in De Leon. He was born June 16, 1938, in Fort Worth to William Taylor and Annie Louise Stubbs Irvin. He married Bonnie Lou Rogers Huggins on June 26, 1986, in Fort Worth. Mr. Irvin was a building contractor and in later years raised cattle on his ranch. He was a member of the American Hereford Association and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Irvin of De Leon; son, William Carey Irvin of Burleson; daughter, Marcella Marie Smith and husband, Barry, of Houston; a step-son, Billy Shane Huggins; grandchildren, Jorden, Emily and Luke; and a step-grandson, Brandon Shane Huggins.
