George Kavanaugh

I knew my grandfather when I was a young child. I was 7 years old when he died but I have vivid memories of him. I have been researching ancestors through the Kavanaugh/Kavanagh name but with little to go on once I reached Ireland I have been stuck. I've indicated as much information as I have on his grandparents. I only know the bare minimum on both the paternal and maternal sides. With Micheal Kavanagh, I believe he and (perhaps a wife) may have first gone to Pennsylvania but not sure. Also, do not know year of immigration. With the maternal side (O'Connell),I also do not know year of immigration or whether or not Michael and Catherine traveled together. I don't know if it's possible to discover birth places in Ireland or further family members.
