455 George /6, Lampson (Nathaniel /5, Nathaniel /4, William /3 Joseph /2, William^ /1), was born April 22, 1799, and died at Stratford, Conn., May 22, 1870. He married Betsey Maria Selby, daughter of John and Mary (Osborn) Selby, Dec. 21, 1821 ; she was born at Stratford, Conn., Sept. 13, 1801, and died at Waterbury, Conn., Jan. 19, 1889. She is buried at Stratford, Conn.
George Lampson lived in Stratford, Conn. When he was a young man he became a mariner, and later Captain of a coasting vessel. In his later years he conducted a grocery business in Stratford. He is buried in the Old Burying Ground of Christ Church, Stratford.
