This does not seem possible, however, because George Leiper, primus, here treated, probably died before 26 June 1657, the date upon which the baptism of his younger brother of the same name was registered at Glasgow.. MyHeritage It follows, therefore, that George Leiper, primus, here treated, is not the same person as George Leper, Resident of Aberdeen

Another two pedigrees published on the internet, without justification or explanation, identify George Leiper, here treated, as William George Leiper. genealogyonline MyHeritage This is clearly wrong. Moreover, it would appear that no such person as William George Leiper has ever existed.
