About George Sidney Marich
George Sidney Marich was educated at Sydney Grammar School where he was No.2 Prefect and played as winger in the 1st XV in Rugby and 1st XI as a fast bowler and was picked in both the Combined GPS XI and Combined GPS XV. In the Combined GPS Athletics he won the 100 yards sprint, beating John Playfair of Shore, who was later to found Elanora Country Club in 1928. He was a member of the Sydney Stock Exchange from 1911-1923.
