From 1882 edition of The History of the Mathesons, page 56. Murdoch, who married, and had four sons, all of whom died young, except Donald, the youngest, who was in 1824, schoolmaster in Ardgour, Lochaber, where he married, with issue.

From The History of the Mathesons, page 118.. Murdock had three sons and two daughters. The daughters are unnamed. The sons were Alexander, John, and Donald. The later two entered the army and were both dead before 1841.
