George appears on the 1860, 1870, and 1880 censuses, as a son in the parental household, with ages: 4, 14, and 23. In 1900 and 1910, he is on the Nebraska censuses, with his wife named in 1900 as Bessie, and 1910 as Anna E.
There is a problem with Mary E. Fairchild, Find A Grave #47044232, that impacts other entries in FAG.
- 47044232 states she married twice: (1) Enoch Converse Rowell, and (2) George Hurst McKee. NEITHER man married a Mary E. Fairchild. Two emails to the submitter, Jeanne Young,, have drawn neither a response or any change in the entry.
Young states Mary was: born 1850 Indiana, and died "unknown", in Indiana, and burial "unknown". She is shown as a daughter of William Wheeler Fairchild by his wife Lucinda Young.

Find A Grave Memorials involved. Mary E. Fairchild - #47044232
Enoch Converse Rowell - #39315373 (Viola (Rowell) Rowell - #39315377)
George Hurst McKee - #57841774 (Bessie E. Leslie - #76737110)
William Wheeler Fairchild #5843542 Lucinda Young - #5843544
Edwin DeWitt Knight - #30234689 Mary E. Knight - #30234704
MARY'S PARENTAGE: Mary appears on the 1850 and 1870 census with William and Lucinda Fairchild.
1. 1850 - Mary recorded as Mary E., female, age 1, born Indiana. Robb, Posey Co., IN.
2. 1870 - Mary recorded as "Mallie" Fairchild, age 20, born Indiana. Index only says "Indiana" - no county or township. Believe "Mallie" would be "Molly" possibly nickname for Mary.

ENOCH CONVERSE ROWELL (1835-1900)
Enoch's father, Samuel, died in 1851, and Enoch was sent to live with his uncle, William Rowell, in Albany, Orleans Co., Vermont. Records show Enoch lived in that town the rest of his life in Albany. In 1865, Enoch married his cousin, Viola Rowell, daughter of William, and both are buried in the E. Rowell Cemetery in Albany; he in 1900, she in 1914..

GEORGE HURST McKEE: (1856-1917)
George was born 3 August 1856, son of Andrew and Francis E. (no maiden name) McKee, as created by E. Cecil on 28 August 2010. Cecil states "Family links provided by Grace ---" me, which is not quite true. I did add his parents, but not the marriage to Mary E. Fairchild.
George appears on the 1860, 1870, and 1880 censuses, as a son in the parental household, with ages: 4, 14, and 23. In 1900 and 1910, he is on the Nebraska censuses, with his wife named in 1900 as Bessie, and 1910 as Anna E. I presume the E. stood for Elizabeth, for which Bessie is a common nickname.
Bessie's headstone photo shows: "Bessie E. Leslie, wife of Geo. H. McKee" (1870-1910), in the Belvidere Rural Cemetery Belvidere, Thayer County, Nebraska. cannot read the photo of George's headstone in the Perrin Cemetery, Perrin, Clinton County, Missouri, (1856-1917).
Certainly George could have married again, but dates for the following entry precludes it being Mary E. Fairchild. Her husband, Edwin Knight, did not die until 1913.

EDWIN D. KNIGHT and MARY E. FAIRCHILD were married 9 February 1875, per the "Indiana, Marriages, 1780-1992," index found on the FamilySearch website. Film 549433, page 225, batch I00297-2.
1880 census index shows Edwin D. Knight in Smith, Posey Co., Indiana, with a wife named Mary E. (30), b. Indiana. They now have two daughters, Bertie B. and Laura L., and three members of the Perkins family was enumerated with them.
The double stone in Ridgeway Cemetery, Osage Co., Kansas, reads: "Knight. E.D. Knight, 1848-1913, -- his wife -- Mary E. 1849-1891."
If anyone is curious, all three husband surnames, Rowell, McKee, and Knight appear on my family tree although only Enoch is a direct ancestor. What a coincidence!

I am sending this message by email and edit both to Jeanne Young, and hopefully she will make the proper corrections. However, you need to know so you can make a note on your Memorials
