George Mears was the oldest son of Mark Mears. Did he stay behind in Accomack County, VA while Mark and his second wife made a home in Dobbs County, NC? This seems a plausible explanation as there was no will in VA. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best or at least worth considering. SFG
