Funeral services for George T. Mulligan, 69, were held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at Swaledale Monday morning June 2. Mr. Mulligan died as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident which happened a half a mile south of Swaledale Wednesday, June 18. He passed away at the Rockwell hospital on June 20. George Mulligan was born in Genoa, Illinois, January 29, 1878. He came to Iowa with his parents at the age of six years, and resided on a farm until 1916 when he moved to the present home in Swaledale. He was married to Pearl Calkins on December 17, 1928. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Leo J. Mulligan of Truman, Minnesota, a sister, Mrs. Wm. Hodson, of Swaledale, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters, one brother being a twin of Mr. Mulligan.
Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery at Rockwell. Pall Bearers were: Edd Buntenbach, Klemme; N. C. Brown, Austin, Minnesota; Jack Willemensen, Jake Jountz, Edd Morony, Swaledale; and George Mantz of Rockwell.

Funeral services for George Mulligan, 69, Swaledale, who died Friday afternoon from injuries received in an automobile accident, were held at St. Lawrence Catholic church in Swaledale at 9:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Father Francis Churchill officiated.
Pallbearers were Ed Bumtenbach, M.J. Brown, George Mantz, Jake Jomtz, Jack Willemssen and Ed Moroney.
Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery, Rockwell. Mrs. Ed Moroney was in charge of flowers. The Patterson funeral home In charge.

Manly—Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lindstrom and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Calkins and their family attended the funeral of George Mulligan, who died at a hospital in Rockwell following an accident near his home at Swaledale. Funeral services were held Monday at the Catholic church. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Lindstrom and Mr. Calkins.

Ellen "Nellie" Halloran, was born Nov. 30, 1885 in Ackley and died Dec. 7, 1918 in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. On April 10, 1907 in Swaledale, Cerro Gordo County, she married George Thomas Mulligan, born Jan. 29, 1878 in Genoa, DeKalb County, Illinois, son of James Mulligan and Bridget Carroll. George died Jun. 20, 1947 in Rockwell, Cerro Gordo County due to injuries received in an automobile accident on June 18, 1947.
