Some confusion over the birth date of George, viz:

• Death Cert of 1855 states George's age as 39 yo; ie born 1816 - belongs to George William Munday the husband of Mary Jane JACKSON (not this George)
• Marriage Cert to Catherine Stewart in 1849 states he was 39 yo ie born 1810

  • Born 1817, mistakenly recorded by some as having a 2nd marriage and then dying in Hobart in 1855, but I have found his 2nd? marriage to Mary McMAHON in 1870, and death in 1879, (parents names stated) in Victoria. His 1st marriage was to Catherine STEWART in 1849, who died in 1851. I have since found three children, to Margaret McMahon, one of whom survived and has descendants in Victoria.
