George (78), and his wife were murdered during a Home Invasion. On February 23, the men broke into the house of George, and Gassy Myburgh (87), in Roodepoort and strangled the couple.

During the robberies, Khalipha bit into chunks of cheese, and teeth marks linked him to the crimes. The two men were also linked to the crimes by fingerprints on wine bottles and DNA evidence collected from the scene. They were also found in possession of stolen items.

"We were devastated. We could not believe that at their age they could be murdered in such a cowardly way. They were fragile. We are just heartbroken." This was the anguish of Linda Parker, the daughter of elderly George and Gassy Myburgh
