G. H. Newton , 73, Dies in Hospital of Heart Ailment
George Henry Newton, 73, Stafford County fisherman and farmer, died in Mary Washington Hospital on Wednesday night following a coronary thrombosis. His home was in Fredericksburg R. D. 2.
Surviving are his wife, Annie; two sons, Archie Newton, and Henry G. Newton, of Stafford County; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Newton, od Stafford County; one brother, John Newton of Stafford County; two sisters; Mrs. Hugh Newton and Mrs. George Newton, of Stafford County; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fletcher's Methodist Chapel, King George County. The Rev. Irwin G. Couch will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will remain at Wheeler & Thompson Funeral Home until 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
