George Ogden Odom

Son of Andrew Odom and Mary Ann Allen.

Wed Amanda Pernina Dunn 21 Apr 1884.

Funeral service for George O. Odom was held at 2 p.m. today, September 23, 1947 at the residence in Lecompte. Interment was in the Greenwood Memorial park under the direction of Hixson Bros.

Mr. Odom, 89, died at 1:45 p.m. September 22, at the residence in Lecompte. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amanda Odom, three sons, L. O. of Baton Rouge, Dr. L. W. of Glenmora, and Overton of Lecompte, two daughters, Mrs. Joe Carter, of Oakridge [sic Oak Ridge], La. and Mrs. B. P. Roberts of Morrow, La., and 16 grandchildren.

Mr. Odom was a charter member of the Lecompte Baptist church, and the Gordy Masonic lodge 33.
