The “Kac 's Flak Shak” (also known as the ”Green Hornets”) was a B-17G bomber assigned to assigned to the 410th Squadron of the 94th Bomb Group of the US Army Air Corp. On 11 Sep., 1944 it collided with the “Daring Doris”, another B-17 assigned to the 333rd Squadron of the 94th Bomb Group. The mid-air collision occured near Frankfurt, Germany - six of the Daring Doris & two of the Kac 's Flak Shak were killed.
