GEORGE PARKS SERVICES HELD

Services for George Washington Parks, 88, 467 San Pedro St., McFarland who died on June 17 in Shafter, were held on Friday, June at 2 p.m. in the Pentecostal Church of God. He was born in Clarksville, Texas on August 11, 1886 and came to California 67 years ago, living in the area for 52 years. He is survived by his son, Clayburn Parks of Homeland, California; three daughters, Luevern Fox of Wasco, Georgia Mae Miller of Corcoran and Nora Stanley of McFarland plus two brothers, Newet Parks of Norman, Oklahoma and Charlie Parks of Phoenix, Arizona. Also surviving are 41 grandchildren plus 28 great-grandchildren. Interment was held at the North Kern District Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Kenneth Noel. Funeral arrangements were made by Parkview Mortuary.

Uncle Cecil is another child of Daddo's.
