About George V Rogers
George ran a general merchandise store in Bloomington, Osborne County, Kansas during the 1880's and 1890's. In 1900 he was the census taker for his township.
He was elected Osborne County Treasurer in 1905 and reelected in 1909. While conducting a modernization campaign in the city of Osborne, he was sued for replacing a property owner's wooden sidewalk. He won the case locally, but on appeal he lost in the Kansas Supreme Court -- -- on 11/11/11 ! Should be a lucky day?!?!
