About George Samuel Hayter

Death Notice

The burial place of GS Hayter is given as Talana Hill. This is only partially correct, as in 1926 the Boer Dead were re-interned and buried in the grounds of the Dutch Reformed Church in Dundee.

Unfortunately George Samuel's surname is inscribed as KEYTER. I have researched the Boer Forces dead and that there is no mention of a Keyter at all.At the Platrand Boer War Memorial for those Boers who lost their lives, near Ladismith KZN, his name is correctly inscribed. (Images to follow)
