In St Nicholas Church, Cumberworth Baptism Registers 1847 Page 13 No 100. 1881 Census - George Henry Smith aged 34 (Occup Farm Labourer) living No 2 Tunnel Road, Cumberworth with wife Hannah (32) and 4 children Mary Ann (9), Selina (8), Sarah (6) and Walter (3). 1891 Census - George Henry Smith (43) (Occup Teamer) living Heator, Cumberworth with wife Hannah (42) and 5 children Mary Ann (19) (Occup Dress Corsey Maker), Selina (18) (Occup Alpeca Weaver), Sarah (16) (Occup Tailoress), Walter (13) and Fred (3). 1901 Census - George Henry Smith aged 54 (Occup General Labourer at Brewery) living Rockhouse, Cumberworth with wife Hannah (50) 3 children Walter (23) (Occup Plumber and Painter), Fred (13) and Selina Turton (28) also son in law Wille Turton (26) (Occup Woolllen Weaver) and grandson George Herbert Turton (6 months). 1911 Census - George Henry Smith (62) (Occup Labourer - Joiner) living Rock Houses, Cumberworth with wife Hannah (61) and son Fred (22) (Occup Labourer - Millhand) also Daughter Selina Turton (37) and son inlaw Willie Turton (36) (Occup Labourer - Brewery) and their 4 children George Herbert Turton (10), Blanche Turton (7), Annie E Turton (5) and Gordon (2).
