About George Tarr
Accidentally shot during a hunt when he was wearing a bushbuck cap and mistaken for an animal. Another version is that he was wearing a brown jersey and was behind a stone relieving himself when he was shot. His widow Elizabeth Rodgers Elliott married his older brother Nathanial. Died at the Riet River.
