About George A. Tubman
George A.Tubman, 91, of Bourne Ave. East Providence, died Tuesday, August 30, at Home & Hospice Care of RI, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Holmes) Tubman.
Mr. Tubman was the owner and operator of Rumford Sunoco before retiring in 1985. He was a WW II Navy Veteran.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Judith Rivard her husband Robert, 2 sons Kenneth G. Tubman his wife Paula, and Jeffrey T. Tubman, 2 brothers, Donald and Neil Tubman, two sisters, Joyce Travis and Eleanor Schofield, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held in the J. H. Williams & Co. Funeral Home, East Providence. Burial with Military Honors followed in the Lakeside Cemetery, Rumford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Haven United Methodist Church, 220 Taunton Ave., East Providence, RI 02914 would be appreciated.,
