1871 is a coach maker aged 17 in Wolverton with parents and 5 siblings.

15 November 1880 marries Ellen Davis at St Saviour's Church, Saltley, Aston. He is recorded as living in Kentish Town, Middx.

1881 is aged 26 living at 31 Goldington Street, St Pancras/Marylebone, London, employed as a coach maker. He is married to Ellen aged 24 born Saltley (north west Birmingham). Charles is born at 30 Goldington Street in January 1882.

1891 is living at 27 Northgrove, Tottenham, working as a coachbody maker. He and Ellen are 35 and have four children: Charles F 9 born St P, Florence E 6 born St P, Albert E 5 born St P and Lillie E aged 1 born Tottenham.

1901 has moved to 214 Roslyn Road, Tottenham but still a coach maker. He is down as 47. The children present along with Ellen are Florence (Frances recorded) 16, a dressmaker: Arthur E aged 13 (should this be Albert?): Charles C aged 8: Gertrude M aged 6 and Nellie E aged 3. Charles F has become a soldier.

Dies before 1911, probably 1903 but there are choices.
