Mayflower and revolutionary war descendant - his 5ggrandfather was Edward Fuller.
Served in the American Civil War, Co. B, 7th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Entered the service June 5th, 1861, for 3 years; taken prisoner during the Battle of Cross Lanes, Va., Aug. 26th, 1861; was held in Libby Prison, Richmond, Va., Parish Prison, New Orleans, Louisiana, and also a cotton factory prison in Salisbury, North Carolina (see Prison Life page for further details); exchanged June 6th, 1862; returned to Company for duty March 20th, 1863; mustered out with Company July 6th, 1864.
