George Willis

The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Coxswain George Willis, United States Navy, for distinguished and heroic conduct while serving on board the U.S.S. Tigress. Coxswain Willis displayed gallant and meritorious conduct on the night of 22 September 1873 off the coast of Greenland.
