Surnames: Wirth, Picanco George B. Wirth, 99, of Modesto died Saturday at Casa de Modesto. Mr. Wirth was a native of Adams County, Ind. He lived in Modesto 85 years. He was an insurance salesman for 35 years. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Oma Ruth Wirth of Modesto; a son, Ray Wirth of Paso Robles; a stepdaughter, Dora Picanco of Ripon; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, Modesto.
