Died suddenly while working at his prospect near Rawhide. Veteran of WWI. His WWI draft registration states the above birth information; at that time he was working as a motor truck driver for Holt and Allen out of Spencer, ID. Resident of Nevada about 25 years. In the 1940 census he is in New River Churchill County, NV with his mining partners John D. Chisolm and Peter Lugocki, he is single. Associated with A.V. Marker in mining prospects and also had worked for him at his blacksmith shop.

"Funeral services were held in Hawthorne last Thursday for George Woodman, 62 year old mining man. The services were conducted by American Legion Mineral County post # 19 and burial was in the Hawthorne Cemetery. Mr. Woodman passed away suddenly Friday, July 15, at Rawhide where he had been prospecting with Jack Madison. He served in France during WWI as a private first class in supply. A native of Montana, he resided in Nevada about 24 years. His occupation included mining and blacksmithing." -- Above contributed by Eileen --
