Tim: I found a baby book for him that showed his original middle name to be Vance. He was originally born Gerald Vance Stamps, but a week later his middle name was changed to Frank. His father (Frank, who was originally born Harper Stamps) had his birth certificate changed at that time, and the original was destroyed. Also found was a letter from a family friend welcoming the arrival of Gerald Vance Stamps.
