Gert Coetzer

Cape Town NGK Doopregister has 31 Mar 1791 entry for what looks like 'Eert' Coetser,but can only be Gert as parents,aunt & uncle and birth year match up. 'L.v. Waveren' [Land van Waveren'= Tulbagh district] at end of entry shows that the group travelled to Cape Town for the ceremony.

Gert baptised 31 March 1791 !!  So oldest name stands !  Also GERT COESTER on his own DN and   on DN of his wife .

On his Death notice 7 November 1870 his name is GERT COESTER

Name on his marriage document Gerrit Koetzer but not Gerhardus Wilhelmus Coetser !

NB- does anyone have a source for name Gerhardus Wilhelmus Coetser perhaps --only Gert Coetser and Gerhardus Coetser on sources . Where did these names come from ?
