Gertrude A. Trompeter, 78, of 1536 Sand Hill Road, Lebanon, died of natural causes Friday, 15th June, 2001, in Lebanon's Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph F. Trom- peter. Born 4th October, 1922, in lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Howard H. Sr. & Mabel (Allwein) Arnold. She was a re- tired kitchen employee of Cornwall Manor, had worked in the school cafeteria for 8 years, was a volunteer for the Salvation Army, & was a member of St. Mary's Church & Parish Coun- cil for Catholic Women. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters, Barb- ara A., wife of Allen R. Matters Jr., & Joan E. Ristenbatt , both of Lebanon; a stepmother, Viola (Zimmerman) Arnold of Ann- ville; sisters, Sara Arnold of Myerstown, Kathryn Parrisi of Long Shore, NJ, Frances Emas of Philadelphia, Sister Agnes Arnold of Lebanon, Rose Felty of Frederick, Md., & Geraldine Peiffer of Schwenksville; brothers, Howard H. Arnold Jr. and Joseph Ar- nold, both of Lebanon and Robert Arnold of Fredericksburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Margaret Allwein, mary Arnold, & Regina Combs, & brothers William, Raymond, and Samuel Arnold. Funeral services will be held at 9:30am Wednesday at the Thompson Funeral Home, 126 South 9th Street, Lebanon, pre- ceded by a viewing from 7-9pm with recitattion of the Rosary at 8pm Tuesday. Mass of Christain Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, 2 North 8th Street, Le- banon. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mass of Christain Burial for Gertrude A. Trompeter, 1536 Sandhill Road, Lebanon, was celebrated Wednesday, 20th June, 2001, in St. Mary's Church. She was the wife of Joseph F. Trompeter. The Rev. David McAndrew, pastor of the church, was the cele- brant and Deacon Richard Wentzel assisted with the funeral rites. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Vanessa Ristenbatt, Alicia Matters, Allen Matters III, Allen Matters Jr., Howrad "Butch" Arnold III, Cliff Ber- ger, Joseph Arnold, & Howrad Arnold Jr. Thompson Funeral Home, lebanon, was in charge of arrange- ments.
