On 14 April 1745, Sarah Ramsdale, wife of Gideon, was admitted to theHanover First Church.; At the July 1764 Court, Gideon Ramsdell of Abington, yeoman, was charged with abandoning his wife and cohabitating with Ruth Palmer of Abington,widow, a person of ill fame. Abigail Ramsdell, wife of Gideon Ramsdell, appeared and said for more than a year she has bee n in great fear that Gideon, her husband, would take her life.; On 13 July 1812, the balance of Gideon's estate was divided among sonsJohn, Gideon, Micah, No ah, David and Thomas Ramsdell; the heirs of Job Ramsdell; Content Cudworth, Deborah Gurney an d Abigail Russell. Special note: Robert Ramsdell states that Gidion Ramsdell is buried on the same grave site as John Porter Reed in Mount Zion Cemetery in Plymouth Co,MA.Aparently the rest of the family is in the correct cemetery of Hillside Cemetery.
