Biography

Gideon Tirrell, son of Gideon and Hannah Tirrell, was born April 10, 1693 at Weymouth. He married at Weymouth, 9 July, 1715 Mary Nash, daughter of John and Mary Nash of Weymouth. She died at Weymouth 12 June, 1754. He was a representative to the General Court 1728, 1729 and 1730.[1]

Gideon made his will 27 June 1765 and it was proved 4 April, 1766, mentioning his wife, son Jacob, his grandchildren of his son Gideon, late of Weymouth, deceased, his son Isaac, son of Ebenezer, son of Daughter of Benjamin, daughter Hannah Ripley; son Jacob to be executor. (Suffolk Probate,65: 144.)[1]

   Division of the estate of Gideon Tirrell, late of Weymouth, 7 Nov. 1766, mentions Ebenezer Tirrell, the heirs of Jacob Tirrell, deceased, Beniamin Tirrell and Isaac Tirrell. (67: 303.)
   John Vinton, administrator, versus John Tyrrell, and guardians of Ebenezer Tyrrell, Aug. 1787, agreed that Ebenezer Tyrrell, by his deed, 7 Mar. 1769, sold to Edmund Soper, his heirs and assigns; that Gideon Tyrrell, by his will dated 27 June, 1765, devised the same to Ebenezer Tirrell, one-half of his home place, and the Supreme Court ruled that said Ebenezer Tirrell took an estate in fee simple by the will of his father. (87: 419.)
