Gilbert Okley Frye

Gilbert O. Frye, 89, of Claysville died at Saturday, July 24, 1982, in “his home following a lingering illness. Hc was born July in Nebo, Greene County, a son of George W. and Mary E. Majors Frye. He lived in East Finley Township for the past 55 years, where he was a farmer. He retired in 1969. Mr. Frye was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. He was married December 31, 1915, to Hazel V. Saunders, who died March 13, 1946. On June 17, 1949, he married Eleanor V. Grimes, who died July Surviving are six daughters, Alberta Frye, at home. Mrs. Verna Vittek of Claysville, Mrs. Harold (Evelyn) Pettit of Claysville Mrs. Charles (Freda) Thomas of Claysville Mrs. Theodore (Dolly) Grimes of Claysville and Mrs. Clarence (Geraldine) Calvert, Jr. of Spraggs; two sons, Donald O. Frye of Conway and Gilbert E. Frye of Claysville 3; 21 grandchildren; 28 and a sister, Mrs. Rosa Pollock of Houston. Deceased are a daughter. Mar-' jorie Dean Frye, two infant sons, two brothers, a sister and a grandson.
