About Gita Klompul
Rachel Klompul was the mother of Leah and Gita Klompul.
She and Gita were Kovno Jews seized in the streets and taken to the synagogue for three days while graves were dug for them on the football field.
Rachel's husband had been taken away six or seven weeks earlier, and was killed in the woods with a number of other men.
Leah Klompul was twenty four at the time, and recalled the above information about her parents and sister Gita.
