About Gladys A. Rabhan
Gladys Rabhan, age 103, died peacefully on Thursday, October 25, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Louis Rabhan, sisters Lorraine Schwager and Bea Chaskin, brothers Alvin Rabhan and Morton Rabhan. She is survived by nieces and nephews Patricia and Jack Balser of Atlanta, Barbara and Harold Rabhan of Greenville, S.C., Sandra and Ben Kaye of Greensboro, NC. and Samuel and Lynn Rabhan of Goldsboro N.C. as well as many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Gladys was born in New York City and moved to Savannah, GA as an infant. She and her sister Lorraine were was the original Estee Lauder salespeople when that cosmetics line was introduced at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York and she continued in that position until her retirement. For the last 22 years she made her home in Atlanta. Gladys loved her family and her many friends. She made friends easily wherever she went. Always well informed, interested and interesting, Gladys never ceased learning and enjoyed every opportunity for cultural and religious participation. She was kind, lovable and active well into her 100th year. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to Gladys' exceptional caregivers, Melissa Williams, Cynthia Price and Tanya Thomas.
