

G.A. left his farm at Graaff-Reinet and arrived in Johannesburg 5.6.1888 where he resided as pioneer of the Rand, at Doornfontein, led the Peacock/Southey family trek to Rhodesia during 1897 and arrived in Salisbury on 10.4.1898, one of first farmers in the Enterprise Dist., grew wheat and citrus under irrigation, founder of Peacock family in Rhodesia, died in his daughter's home.
