About Gordon Wayne Wolfe

Gordon Wolfe Seattle, Washington USA

Gordon Wayne Wolfe was born on July 11, 1947 at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento California and lived his early years in Citrus Heights California with his parents, Robert and Juanita (Patterson) Wolfe. He attended the local schools and graduated from San Juan Union High School. From there he went to American River Junior College (AA), University of California, Davis (BS Physics), then to Florida Atlantic University in Florida (MS) while working on the Space Shuttle project for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, and then back to Davis for his Doctorate in physics. He met his future wife, Cynthia Lozano, during his studies for his BS at Davis and they married after his return from Florida. He was offered a job as assistant Professor at University of Mississippi in Oxford , where he taught for four years. From there Gordon and Cyndi moved to New Orleans where they stayed for several years. They then moved to the west coast, Seattle Washington where both were employed by Boeing. While in Seattle, Washington, Gordon joined he Boeing flying club and got his pilot's license. At the same time, Cyndi purchashed a large loom and became very interested in weaving and fabric construction. Gordon became interested in music at high school, taking up the banjo and later the guitar. He played in a group called "Him, Her and Me" which won an award at the California State Fair. In later years, a cousin of his made him a violin and he became interested in fiddle music. In all these music undertakings, he never learned to read music.

Has published a book on the family history of his father's line called "Family, Farm and Faith" and is mostly about the life of his great-great-grandfather Peter Wolf and his wife Isabelle Bollinger, their parents, siblings and offspring in the 19th century.
