About Gotlieb Messal

Alternate spelling of surname: Messal, Massel, Messel
Mrs. Gurnoff was Mrs. Me ssal's mother and came with them to America in
1900. They settled in South D akota. In 1905, they came to Michigan and
settled here on Beaver Lake Rd, no w the Adolph Krentz farm. They brought
5 daughters and 1 son, Adolph. Ameli a was already married to Juliua Timm
and they ahd 5 children, August, Andrew, Minnie, William, and Ferdinand
Timm. Their other daughters were: Mrs. Frank Bigloi, Bertha; Mrs. Adolph
Schmidt, Emma; Mrs John Seigert, Lydia; and Mrs. Franz Schultz, Rosina.
Five children died of the plague when they emigrated from Russia to
Romania before the came to the USA. With God's blessings, we are now in
the 7th generation here in America. Six generations are buried i n the
Wolf Creek Cemetery. *This information cam from a church bulletin
located by Myra Cross (formerly Schultz). She found it in old magazines
at h er mothers home.
