About Goya Robles

Goya Robles is most recognized for his series regular breakout role as Yago, working alongside Ray Romano and Chris O'Dowd in the critically acclaimed series GET SHORTY (Amazon/EPIX). He is currently recurring as Joaquin on the hit show POWER BOOK III: RAISING KANAN (Starz) as well as Ricardo "Monkey" Morales in the upcoming Netflix show GRISELDA, starring Sofia Vergara. He has starred in numerous independent films, including a lead role as Goose in the upcoming film RATTLED! and a supporting lead role as Teyo in the film 11:55, starring John Leguizamo, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Victor Almanzar, David Zayas and Julia Stiles. Goya finished filming an Apple TV studio feature film called THE GREATEST BEER RUN EVER, starring Zac Efron, Russell Crowe and Bill Murray, and directed by Peter Farrelly, set to release on September 30, 2022.

He is also the executive producer of the short film WONDER, winning over 20 national and international film festival awards, including the HBO Shorts Competition at the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival and the Audience Award at Urbanworld. Wonder can currently be seen on all HBO platforms.

His theater credits include the role of Jackie in the Actors Studio production of THE MOTHERF*CKER WITH THE HAT by Stephen Adly Gurguis, in Los Angeles, CA; Raul in EXTREMITIES by William Mastrosimone, and Richard in CRYSTAL CLEAR by Phil Young, both at the Dance New Amsterdam Theater in New York City. He also starred in the LAByrinth Theater Barn Series of Mark Borkowski's play, VALENTINO'S WING, starring Michael Shannon and Annabella Sciorra, and directed by Ellen Burstyn.

Goya is also the creator of Paint The Mic, a performing and visual arts collaboration which brings attention to local organizations whose mission is to support underserved communities. As a spoken word artist himself, Goya created a way for artists of diverse disciplines to use their craft as a way to directly impact communities in need.

He is a Lifetime Member of the Actors Studio and holds an MFA from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City.
