Anderson identifies her as daughter of Nicholas Buttry born in England & died September 8, 1636 in Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts and Martha _______ born 1607 in England and who married second by 1639 Miles Ives.[1][2]
Grace was age 1 when she emigrated with her family in 1635.[3][4][5]
Her father Nicholas died at Cambridge, Massachusetts the following year and her mother Martha was remarried to Miles Ives by 1639. [1]
She married William Healy in Cambridge 14 Oct 1653.[6][7][8]
She reportedly had 3 other children with William Healy, (her only marriage) other than Nathaniel, named Mary Healy Watson, Grace Healy & Martha Healy. (unproven)[9]
Grace Buttrice only lived to be 26 which partially explains William's many wives.
Grace Buttrice married William Healey at Cambridge on October 14, 1653. [1]
She died prior to August 15, 1661, when William Healey married Phebe Greene. [6] [10]
Miles Ives died at Watertown, Massachusetts on August 26, 1684. [11]
In his will dated December 20, 1683, he names his stepdaughter Grace's children, among others:
- grandson Nathaniel Healey and his sister Grace Ireland
- Martha Healey (?granddaughter) [12]

- Grace baptized in ___ 16__ [6] born c 1654 [13]; died on October 2, 1730, aged 77 years, 5 mos and 1 day; married John Ireland on July 15, 1680 at Charlestown. [14]
- Mary born on November 4, 1657 [13] died on November 27, 1657. [6]
- Nathaniel baptized on February 6, 1658 [6]; died at Newton on June 2, 1734 [15]; married Rebecca [13] Hagar at Watertown on July14,1681. [16]
- Martha baptized on September 9, 1660. [6]
Info to investigate to sort out relationships; Are there actually two Graces, leading to confusion? Possibilities: Grace, daughter of Nicholas Buttry, and Grace, daughter of Miles Ives who married William Healy:
IVES, MILES, or MICHAEL, Watertown 1639, by w. Martha had Sarah, b. 11 Oct. 1639; Mary, 10 July 1641; and Hannah, 9 May 1643; sold his est. and 1641 rem. to Boston, there d. 26 Aug. 1684, aged 86. We may believe, that he brot. elder ch. from Eng. for his will of 20 Dec. 1683, pro. 7 Oct. foll. names s.-in-law John Polley, whose w. Susanna must have been b. bef. either of those nam. as must also the mo. of his gr.ch. Healy wh. is also ment. Other s.-in-law was Lewis Allen; and Hannah m. 8 Jan. 1668, James Hubbard, as his sec. w. Yet Healy, the gr.ch. is nam. by him Nathaniel, and his mo. was Grace, d. of Nicholas Buttry, third w. of William, whose first was Grace, also, 1). in Eng,. and to me it seems prob. that she was d. of Miles Ives.
