About Gussie Spitzberg
Update: It is nearly certain that Gussie Spitzberg was a niece of Emil Werner and Minnie Lyons Werner, not their daughter. From a message I received on Ancestry:
"I ran across your tree with information on Emil Werner and Minnie Lyons Werner. I also saw some information on a geni.com site called Jewish Families of Arkansas that I assume is yours as well."
"I am working with Mac Lyons, great-nephew of Minnie Lyons Werner on a genealogy project so I am familiar with his family. I don't believe that Emil and Minnie were the parents of Gussie Spitzberg, but that prehaps Gussie is the niece of Emil, also known as Amille. The 1900 census for Pulaski County, Arkansas records that Minnie has no children living and has not given birth to any. The 1930 census for St. Louis City shows her living with Gussie's daughter Minnie and her children and is listed as an aunt. I don't believe Emil ever was naturalized which would help in determining who his family was, but I am still working to track information down on him."

She may be the daughter of Emil Werner and Minnie Lyons, who are buried in Oakland Cemetery, although Emil died in St. Louis, Missouri in 1921. I will connect them for the time being and they can be disconnected, if they do not turn out to be Gussie Werner's parents.
Besides being buried in the same cemetery as Gussie, there is the fact that she named a daughter "Minnie," the name of Minnie Lyons Werner.
On the other hand, Emil and Minnie married in 1885 and Gussie was supposedly born 1881 in Krakow. So perhaps they are relatives but not her parents.
