Gustav Esslinger "had been admitted to the regional court in Stuttgart since 1901, later also at the Oberlandesgericht (attorney's office after A 1909/32 in Stuttgart, Königstraße 51); He was already attacked in 1933 in "Der Sturmer" and reported by colleagues to the lawyer's chamber; On September 2, 1933, he came to the "protective" camp of Heuberg for some time; In 1934 he renounced the practice of law; On October 6, 1936, he was sentenced to 14 months in Stuttgart for alleged violations of Nazi laws ("racial shame") and transferred to the Dachau concentration camp in March 1938. On 9 April he was shot at the SS shooting range in Prittlbach Dachau. His grave is located in the Pragfriedhof cemetery.
