The address Wohllebengasse 19 was found in the "Wiener Zeitung" of 11.1.1907. Gustav was apparently involved in the export side of the Turnowsky Textile company.
Gustav Turnowsky, great-grandson of Joseph Turnowsky, founder of the textile emperium in Vienna and Iglau(Jihlava), was married to Marie Kraus, sister of the well known author Karl Kraus. They were collectors of objects of art including furniture designed and made by "Loos". The furniture that stood in their Vienna apartment in Wohllebengasse 19 is on display at the MAK museum (Museum für Angewandte Kunst) in Vienna. Bedroom furniture may be seen in the "Hofimmobiliendepot" (Imperial furniture collection).
